Come visit us and you'll get to know our Arctic huskies who are besides sled dogs, also family members.
Käpälämäki Husky Farm
Each one of our dogs have their own unique personalities and characters, and we try to highlight this while training them. If you wish, you'll get to take part in their daily life with feeding, putting harnesses on, cuddling and petting them. Since we also go to races with our dogs, we have a wide experience about training and different kind of equipment.

A day in the woods
The trail is mostly easy to drive and goes partly along a forest road and partly in the woods. We have some uphills on the way where you have to be prepared to work together with the dogs and help them to pull the sled up. At a halfway point we'll enjoy a delicious lunch made on an open fire.
When driving solo you get to drive all the way and also the speed of the team is faster. It takes a little bit more balance to drive alone and you may not have quite as much time to enjoy the scenery as you will have to focus mostly on the dogs, but you will get a real feeling on what mushing is all about.
Does the other trips sound too short ? Would you like to truly experience the Kuusamo wilderness and spend even more time with your dog team? Are you not afraid of the cold and feel adventurous? Then the over-night trips are just for you!
For the first day we drive the dogs for about 35 km, mostly along our own safe private trails. We'll enjoy lunch by an open fire along the way, and as we arrive to our destination, every musher gets to take care of their own dogs. Then it is time to relax in the cozy cottage and recall the day with a delicious dinner and of course sauna. In the morning, after having fed both the dogs and ourselves, we will begin our journey back to the kennel.
The price includes full board (alcohol drinks not included), accommodation, and your own dog team during the trip. If needed, we will arrange you a warm overall and boots (please inform us when you make a reservation if you need one).
